BSc Physiotherapy
MSc Sports Performance
Founder/Owner of Maxwell Physiotherapy

Robert is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) and is CORU registered. Robert is the founder of Maxwell Physiotherapy and brings over 15 years of clinical experience across Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Mental Health, Intellectual disability, Sports Rehabilitation, and Paediatrics to the Galway community.

Robert hails from Scotland and graduated with a BSc Honours degree in Physiotherapy from Queen Margarets University in 2011 and has since gained an MSc degree in Sports Performance from the University of Limerick in 2019.

Robert launched his own clinic “Maxwell Physiotherapy” in December 2017 and continues to do so happily. Now based at Salthill Devon Soccer Club, Drom East, Salthill, Galway, Robert delivers a modern, evidence-based approach to injury management, rehabilitation, and performance development.

Holding a BSc in Physiotherapy and an MSc in Sports Performance, Robert bridges the gap between traditional clinical physiotherapy and high-performance training. His approach combines thorough assessment, structured rehabilitation planning, and progressive strength-based programming to ensure clients return not only pain-free, but stronger and more resilient. With experience treating both adults and children, Robert works with athletes, active individuals, youth players, and members of the wider community. His philosophy centres on clear communication, collaborative goal setting, and empowering clients with the tools and confidence to take ownership of their recovery.
